Description
This Jon Ardeman’s first novel. 276 pages of raucous humour.
Ignominiously dismissed from his post as a junior geologist on a large gold mine, Timothy starts a new job on a rundown gold mine in rural South Africa. The eccentric locals persuade the young geologist to join them in a series of unconventional and illegal schemes to reprieve the old mine. Timothy struggles through encounters with African wildlife, consultants, riots, the spirit world, explosions, government officials and a frustrating sex life in an attempt to find some real gold to save their tight knit community.
